Born in 1962.

Began playing flugelhorn in the local brass band at the age of eight. Joined the music school a year later, and from the second year on took pianolessons for four years.

Did just one year of flugelhorn for Guido Belsack.

At the same time went on playing with the brass band De Verbroedering and, when his father had to give up conducting it in 1985, became its leader and has remained so ever since.

As a youngster played guitar and drums in various cover bands, and piano in the group Petticoat that mainly added lustre to marriage ceremonies.

After doing one more year of trumpet lessons as a 21-year old, he has kept up with self studies using among others the Arban method, something he still does to maintain technique.

In 1985 he became drummer in a jazz band where, two years later, he had to switch to trumpet! Out of this Pajot Swing Jazz Band the Doctor Jazz Band arose some years ago around four ex-members of the former.

Somewhere around 1994 he joined the brass band Fanfare de Koninklijke Gilde from Hekelgem where he still plays.

From 1995 he played for two years in the Cruncho Granola Jazzband lead by Paul Bourdiaudy.

In 2006 he joined the folk group Arjaun on double bass.

In 2007 together with Wilfrid Moonen, he brought new life into the Duo Retro. This duo, with accordeon, double bass en vocals, is mainly geared towards an older audience.

In 2005 he was allowed to set up a 10-piece house band for the ministry where he is a civil servant: the NOSS-band, in which he plays piano and does the male lead vocals.
